Houses in Genappe - I-Dyle
I-Dyle: a sustainable and responsible neighbourhood .
The new eco-neighbourhood I-Dyle (the name alluding to the Dyle river, whose source lies in this region of Walloon Brabant) is nestled between the centre of Genappe, the RAVEL cycling path and the Chapel of Notre-Dame de Foy. The site, the configuration of the neighbourhood and its integration into the existing landscape were all carefully studied so as to maximise the functional diversity, mobility and the use of natural resources.
A greenway, a day-care centre and neighbourhood shops have been provided for. Also on the menu: an orchard and playgrounds that strengthen the user-friendly character of this neighbourhood, which strives to be uncompromisingly “green”.
The project places special focus on the use of renewable techniques and materials, such as green roofs, rainwater tanks, etc. All of the residences, while opting for a resolutely modern architectural style, are energy-efficient and boast energy performances that meet the requirements set by the Walloon Region.
